Trivia
General[]
- This is one of the few times Frookie winds up in trouble. (Being turned into a zombie in this case.)
- this was the second time Frookie suffered defects
the first was in Hino Tari Hullabaloo
- This is the second time a mature concept has entered the show. (A zombie apocalypse.) However, the concept is twisted to be familiar and the condition is easily curable with real candy.
(The first was on Happy Hearts Day)
Cultural References[]
- "Tricky Treat Day" is a reference to the real-life Halloween event called "Trick or Treating" where children dress up in costumes go door to door to receive candy after saying the phrase, "Trick or treat.". This event usually takes place at night.
- Plumpkin Day is the in-universe version of Halloween, where people go Plumpkin-treating instead of Trick or Treating.
- The monsters in the show parody the zombies from apocalyptic films in how they spread, and their behaviors are similar to werewolves.
How you go Plumpkin Treating:
You head to Plumpkin Marsh wearing a Plumpkin Day mask and go to where the Plumpkins are. When the treats are ready for harvest the Plumpkins descend down from the canopy above. To get the treats, you have to do something for the Plumpkin. You could scare the Plumpkin, make it laugh, or do some kind of trick. After receiving your treats you separate the Tricky Treats from the Good Treats because you’re not supposed to eat the Tricky Treats. There is even a rhyme to help people remember, “Never eat a Tricky Treat, what happens next is not so sweet”. The rhyme is told because if you eat one something strange will happen to you. So, in the morning, take the Tricky Treats back to Plumpkin Marsh and spread them around the Plumpkin’s vines. The Tricky Treats help the Plumpkins grow.
Errors[]
- The moon is a crescent, so True and Bartleby should actually have more than a week to finish their mission, instead of the minutes that this episode spans over. In order for the time limit to be that strict, the moon would have to be near the end of the waxing gibbous phase.
